Mild (low-carbon) steel for structures and general engineering: plates and sheets, HR and CR coils, ERW pipes and hollow sections, and rolled sections, supplied to IS 2062, IS 808, IS 1079, IS 513, IS 1239, IS 4923 and ASTM A36.
Corrosion & temperature resistance
Mild steel has no built-in corrosion resistance. It is normally primed and painted, galvanised or lined for outdoor and wet service; galvanised and pre-painted material can be sourced on request.
